ARE YOU CURRENTLY PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
ARE YOU HAVING CHEMOTHERAPY OR HAVE RECENTLY COMPLETED YOUR TREATMENT?
ARE YOU CURRENTLY TAKING ANY BLOOD THINNING MEDICATION?
DO YOU HAVE PREVIOUS PERMANENT MAKE UP?
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LIP PROCEDURES AND SUFFER FROM COLD SORES?
If you have answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, you will need to make our team aware prior to booking your appointment as you could be contraindicated. We would also like to make clients aware that we will not carry out the procedure if we feel we cannot meet your expectations or we feel the results you desire are inappropriate.
It depends on your preference, if you are completely sure about having permanent make-up, then just call our office and book an appointment. As before the procedure starts we discuss shape and colour options, and answer any questions you may have to make sure you are completely happy before we begin. If you are unsure about having permanent make-up, then a separate consultation can be carried out in the AM before our working day starts. This allows us to keep consultations free of charge. Please also call if you wish to book for a consultation only. (If a patch test is required due to allergies, we can either send this out to for you to perform at home or you may come in and we can carry out a consultation and patch test together)
Deposits are essential for every appointment taken. The minimum deposit amount is £50. This can be taken over the phone or brought into our studio. Only after you have paid your deposit, will you receive an appointment. The reason for this is that it is a specialist, professional treatment, and our studio is extremely busy therefore appointment times are very precious. Deposits will be refunded if over 48 hours notice is given of cancellation. Deposits will be lost if you cancel before 48 hours, or if you fail to disclose medical information that results in a refusal of treatment, also if you have previous work that you haven’t informed us about prior to appointment. To avoid disappointment on the day, please read the guidelines sent to you in your confirmation email. Gift vouchers are non-refundable.
No, our permanent make-up artists enhance what you already have, and wouldn’t take away something that is a benefit to you! Odd hairs that are not in the shape of the final treatment will be removed to achieve a groomed brow.
The procedure does not affect the present hair follicles. The hair will grow as normal and you will still require the normal maintenance e.g waxing, threading to keep the shape groomed.
Microblading is performed with a grouping or configuration of needles affixed to a handle to manually create lines that resemble real hair. Microblading is a traditional form of tattooing which has been used through the ages. Micropigmentation is performed with a pen style hand piece device powered by a machine and holds a cartridge needle which also has a configuration of needles. Both methods are implanted into the dermal layer of the skin resulting in both methods being under the umbrella of Permanent Cosmetics and achieving the same result. The end result is down to the eye and skill of the technician and also their knowledge and experience rather than the method used.
Colours used are to match your natural skin and hair tone. We would never use black pigment in any complexion as an eyebrow colour, no matter how dark your skin is. As it reflects navy tones in certain lights, however we can achieve a dark eyebrow using alternative colours, if this is what you want and will be suited to you.
Beginning with a variety of basic pigment shades, virtually any colour can be mixed to complement your natural skin tones. We work with you, discussing your preferences and making suggestions to help to perfect your look. We custom design your permanent make up to colours that will suit you best. The client does not choose the colour as it is based on skin tone, hair colour and eye colour based on the Fitzpatrick scale, this is what our artists are trained in. We never match to pencils or powders as they sit on the skin and not in the skin.
This is a question we cannot answer accurately, as each individual has a different pain threshold. You are pre-numbed for approximately 30 mins before your procedure and we use anesthetic throughout the procedure if required. So the pain is as minimal as possible.
This varies with each individual, factors such as skin type, colour of pigment chosen, sunbed use and medical conditions will all contribute to fading over time, though the expectation can be anywhere between 6 months and 5 years.
Safety is our priority. At all times we adhere to the strictest sterilisation procedures. Only new, sterile, disposable needles, which are opened in front of each client, are used for your complete safety. Everything is cleaned and sterilised between clients, the room i.e bed, lamp, trolley and everything that has been touched by a gloved hand. We have been highly trained to exacting hygiene standards.
Surface healing is 7 – 10 days however it takes a minimum 28 days to see the final result of your enhancement, however can take up to 2 months depending on age. The older you are the longer the healing process between treatments.
Healing is moderate to minimum discomfort and inconvenience. It is different for every individual, it is skin type dependent e.g. if you have oily skin, you will heal different to an individual with dry skin. You can expect slight flaky skin, itchiness, fading and patchiness (after the first session) this is all completely normal! The pigment can fade and re-surface again once it has settled in the skin (usually 4 weeks). We also give you a skin regenerating cream to use at home.
Immediately! The colour may appear a little darker than usual for the first few days. The crusting is only slightly visible, but usually never really noticeable. Make up can be used around the area, but not directly over it.
